We are a newly started taxi company in Halmstad — local, licensed and on the road around the clock. We have no decades of history to lean on and no star ratings to show off yet. What we have is simpler: proper licences, drivers who speak fluent English, and the ambition to make every ride a reason to choose us again.

Do the drivers speak English?
Yes — every single driver speaks fluent English. Halmstad welcomes tourists, students and international business guests all year round, and with us language is never a barrier to a safe ride.

Licences & trust
What makes us a serious taxi company?
The same things required of all legitimate taxi traffic in Sweden: a licence from the Swedish Transport Agency, officially licensed drivers, corporate F-tax registration and insured rides. Here is what we hold — in plain terms.
Taxi operating licence
We hold a Swedish taxi operating licence ("taxitrafiktillstånd") issued by the Swedish Transport Agency — the legal foundation for running taxi traffic in Sweden.
Licensed drivers
Every driver carries an official Swedish taxi driver ID ("taxiförarlegitimation"), displayed in the car. It shows the driver is vetted, approved and fit for the job.
Registered company
ScandiCab is operated by 178 MMS AB (company registration number 559587-8835), which is registered for Swedish corporate F-tax — a real Swedish company you can look up.
Insured rides
Vehicles and passengers are covered by the insurance commercial taxi traffic requires — every trip, the whole way.
Our story
Why did we start ScandiCab?
Because we think Halmstad deserves a taxi that answers when you call, tells you the price before the trip, and drives just as happily at four in the morning as four in the afternoon.
ScandiCab grew out of a simple observation: taking a taxi should be the comfortable choice — but only if the car actually comes, the price is clear and the driver knows the city. So we built a company around exactly that. Direct booking without middlemen, a clear answer on the price before the trip, and drivers who know where Tylösand's quiet coves are without asking the GPS.
We are new, and it shows in the right ways: fresh cars, real care over every booking and short lines of communication — if you have feedback, you talk directly to the people who drive. Our reputation is being built now, ride by ride, in and around Halmstad.

What do we drive — and who drives you?
A small local team of licensed drivers, and a fleet that covers most needs: regular cars, wheelchair-accessible vehicles with a ramp, child seats on request and large vehicles for up to 8 passengers with luggage.
Whatever the trip — an airport run with golf bags, a hospital visit that needs extra time, or a group heading out together — tell us what you need when you book and we send the right car. We will introduce the team here by name and photo shortly.
Common to everyone on the team: an official taxi driver ID, fluent English and genuine local knowledge — from the central station and the university to Tylösand and Simlångsdalen.
